Rabbi Elimelech Goldberg founded Kids Kicking Cancer, a non-profit organization that provides pain management and empowerment to children with cancer and other serious illnesses. He is a former clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at Wayne State University School of Medicine and a black belt in martial arts.
Goldberg founded Kids Kicking Cancer in 1999 after losing his young daughter to leukemia. The program teaches children with cancer how to use martial arts to manage their pain and anxiety. The program has expanded to several hospitals across the United States and worldwide, including Canada, Italy, and Israel.
