Edward Freeman is a business management professor at the University of Virginia's Darden School. He's also instructed at the Wharton School and the University of Minnesota. Stakeholder theory (1984) and market works are two of Freeman's most well-known works. He has co-edited recent editions of classic business textbooks such as The Portable MBA and Blackwell's Handbook of Strategic Management, and he is the author of Oxford University Press's Ruffin Series of Business Ethics. Managing with Stakeholders, co-authored by Jeffrey Harrison and Andrew C. Wicks and published by Yale University Press, is his most recent work. Ed Freeman has contributed chapters on stakeholder philosophy and stakeholder strategy to the Institute for Corporate Culture Affairs' "A to Z on Corporate Social Responsibility," the world's first "Dictionary of CSR."
