Phillipa Soo is an American actress and singer. She is best known for her roles in the hit Broadway musicals "Hamilton" and "Amélie." Soo was born and raised in Illinois and began performing at a young age. She attended the Juilliard School, where she studied drama and voice.
Soo's breakthrough role came in 2015 when she originated the role of Eliza Hamilton in the hit Broadway musical "Hamilton." She received critical acclaim for her performance and was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical.
