Percival Everett is an acclaimed novelist, short story writer, and poet. Hailing from Fort Gordon, Georgia, he grew up in Columbia, South Carolina. He earned a BA in philosophy from the University of Miami and an MA from Brown University. A prolific and experimentally bold author of over 30 books, Everett is known for satirical, genre-blending fiction that explores race, identity, language, and philosophy in American life.
