Patty Jenkins Biography

Patty Jenkins is a film and television director and screenwriter known for directing 2017's Wonder Woman film which featured Israeli actress Gal Gadot in the title role. Jenkins wrote and directed the 2003 crime drama film Monster about serial killer Aileen Wuornos a former prostitute who was executed in Florida in 2002 for killing six men in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Jenkins has directed many commercials and TV programs including the pilot and finale episode for AMC's The Killing for which she received and Emmy nomination and won the DGA award for best dramatic directing. She directed several other pilots and episodes including Fox's Arrested Development and HBO's Entourage. She was nominated for another Emmy for the final segment of FIVE - a series of short films about breast cancer for Lifetime she shared with fellow directors Jennifer Aniston Alicia Keys Demi Moore and Penelope Spheeris. In 2011 she directed the made for television film Five.
