Noah Baumbach is a film director known for making dramatic comedies. He has written and director films including 2007's Margot at the Wedding 2012's Frances Ha 2014's While We're Young 2015's Mistress America and 2017's The Meyerowitz Stories.
In 2005 Baumbach was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Screenplay for The Squid and the Whale which he wrote and directed. Baumbach has a romantic and creative relationship with fellow acclaimed director Greta Gerwig. In March 2019 it was announced that Gerwig and Baumbach have a son together.
