Mona K. Sutphen was President Barack Obama's former White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy. She provided advice to the President on a variety of topics, including regulatory concerns, economic policies, and strategic initiatives. She also worked as a foreign policy adviser during President Barack Obama's 2008 campaign and the Obama-Biden transition.
She was just appointed to President Obama's Intelligence Advisory Board. Sutphen was the Managing Director of Stonebridge International from 2001 until 2008, a global strategy consulting business that advised multinational enterprises, financial institutions, and other organizations on global issues and opportunities. She was also Vice President of Currenex, the first Internet-based institutional foreign currency trading platform.
