Miles Taylor is an American national security expert, bestselling author, and former government official. He earned a B.A. from Indiana University and an MPhil from Oxford. Taylor served in the George W. Bush administration at the White House, Pentagon, and DHS, later advising Rep. Michael McCaul.
In 2017, he became DHS Chief of Staff under Trump, managing 250,000 employees and a $60 billion budget. In 2018, he anonymously wrote a New York Times op-ed, "I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration," and the 2019 book “A Warning”, criticizing Trump’s leadership. Resigning in 2019, he endorsed Biden in 2020, co-founding Republican Voters Against Trump.
