Michael Wilson is an American stage and film director who has worked on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and at some of the country's most prestigious resident theatres.
He decided to make his screen directorial debut with the Lifetime/Ostar television film adaptation of Horton Foote's The Trip to Bountiful, which was shortlisted for two 2014 Emmy Awards, six 2015 NAACP/Image Awards, including Outstanding Television Movie, and a DGA Award for Outstanding Direction of a Movie or Mini-Series for Television.
