Michael Linden is American Progress's Director of Tax and Budget Policy. Michael's research focuses on the federal budget, as well as the medium and long-term deficits.
He co-authored a number of papers on the reasons and remedies to our fiscal problems, including "Path to Balance," which suggested primary balance as an intermediate objective for the first time, and "A First Step," which contained a detailed strategy for attaining it. Michael invented the term "deficit peacock" as well.
