Melissa is a survivor of a saline infusion abortion that went wrong in 1977. Despite early fears about Melissa's future after surviving a botched abortion attempt when she was seven months pregnant, she has not only survived but flourished.
She has worked in the sectors of drug addiction, mental health, domestic violence and sexual assault therapy, and child welfare with a Master's Degree in Social Work. Melissa was a Feminists for Life College Outreach Speaker and is a past Patron of Real Choices Australia.
