Marty Dutch Biography

Marty Dutch works at First Foundation's consulting department as an assistant vice president. She oversees our Supporting Our Communities project, which provides financial grants and in-kind consulting services to charities to help them enhance their organizational and fundraising skills. Ms. Dutch is also the executive director of Scholars First, a public charity founded by First Foundation that awards higher-education scholarships using monies donated by individuals, companies, and private foundations. Ms. Dutch worked as a Regional Director for The Heritage Institute, a pioneer in the field of intergenerational planning, prior to joining First Foundation. She guided a process that created an open communication and trust culture in order to offer a foundation for multi-generational family unity, growth, and development in this capacity. Ms. Dutch worked for more than 25 years in marketing and sales for Johnson & Johnson and other promotion agencies in Southern California before pursuing her love for charity in the consulting industry. Ms. Dutch is an active member of the charitable community in Orange County. She is a founding board member of Orangewood PALS, an auxiliary of Orangewood Children's Foundation, as well as a member of Olive Crest's Safe Family Board. She is also a member of the Anaheim YMCA's Endowment Committee, Advisors in Philanthropy's CAP chair, a member of AiP's Education Committee, and the Newport Harbor Educational Foundation's previous vice president and four-year board member. Ms. Dutch holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from San Diego State University and is a Heritage Institute Certified Wealth Consultant Candidate.
