Dutch DJ Martijn Garritsen, better known by his stage name Martin Garrix, is a Spinnin' Records client. He is best known for the song Animals, which reached No. 1 in Belgium and the UK and was a Top 10 success in more than ten other nations. His career started with the co-release of BFAM, which he did with Julian Jordan, another artist who was signed to the Spinnin' Records label. He received the SLAM! FM DJ Talent of the Year Award in 2012 for the Nightlife Award. Also in 2012, Christina Aguilera's Deluxe edition of the album Lotus featured his remix of Your Body titled Your Body (Martin Garrix Remix). Max Martin, Shellback, and Savan Kotecha wrote the song. He collaborated with TV Noise on the song "Just Some Loops," which was included on the compilation album Loop Masters Essential, Volume 2. On Tisto's Musical Freedom label, he co-released Torrent with Sidney Samson in 2013. Through his own solo album Animals, which was released on June 16, 2013, on the Dutch record label Spinnin Records, Garrix rose to prominence. Animals were a smash in several European charts, and Garrix immediately became the youngest person to ever hold the No. 1 position on Beatport. The song can be found on Hardwell's album Hardwell presents 'Revealed Volume 4' as well. Project T by Sander Van Doorn, Dimitri Vegas, and Like Mike was remixed by Garrix on September 30th, 2013, and it swiftly rose to the top of the Beatport charts. Garrix debuted at position 40 on DJ Mag's 2013 Top 100 DJs list as a new DJ. Major events including Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, and Creamfields have included performances by Garrix. He started his own record company, Stmpd Records, in 2016. He published his autobiography, MARTIN GARRIX LIFE = CRAZY, in October 2018.
