Martin Dickson is in charge of the Financial Times' print and online editions in North America. He began his career with the newspaper in 1976 as an Africa editor, covering African and diplomatic issues. Since then, he's held numerous top roles on the paper's writing and editing teams.
Dickson started the Lombard column of business commentary in 2002 and published it every day for four years. In the 2005 Business Journalist of the Year Awards, he was named Business Journalist of the Year and Best Opinion Writer of the Year for his column. He was named Senior Financial Journalist of the Year by the Wincott Foundation in 2006.
