Mark McMorris fell at the X Games less than two weeks before the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, fracturing a rib. The two-time Winter X Slopestyle champion returned from injury to earn Canada's first medal at the Sochi Games, demonstrating his own motto of working hard, never giving up, and having fun.
Mark McMorris, a Regina native, is a world-class snowboarder. He earned the Olympic Bronze Medal in Slopestyle at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, after returning from injury during the 2014 X Games (where he still won a silver medal in Slopestyle). This was the first time the Olympic Games had given this sport.
