Dr. Lucy Hone is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Canterbury, a director of the New Zealand Institute of Wellbeing and Resilience, a published academic researcher, best-selling book, and Psychology Today blogger. Lucy received her Ph.D. in public health from AUT University in Auckland after being taught by thought-leaders in wellbeing research at the University of Pennsylvania. She currently works with a variety of organizations, ranging from government agencies to top law firms and schools, to create and implement wellness and resilience projects that result in long-term, meaningful change. Lucy's research has been published in several peer-reviewed academic journals, including the Journal of Positive Psychology, Social Indicators Research, the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, and the International Positive Education Network (IPEN). She is a member of the NZAPP Executive Committee, the conference convenor for Wellbeing in Education NZ, and New Zealand's only representative of the International Positive Education Network (IPEN). Her best-selling book Resilient Grieving is available in New Zealand, Australia, the United States, and England, and her most recent book, The Educators' Guide to Whole-School Wellbeing, is available in the UK, Asia, the United States, and Australasia through Taylor & Francis London. Her TEDx presentation, The Three Secrets of Resilient People, had over two million views on TED.com.
