Entertainer Lily Tomlin made her TV debut on The Garry Moore Show in 1966. In 1969 she joined the cast of Laugh wherein slung her to fame. Crowds became hopelessly enamored with the humorous characters she made including Edith Ann a wicked 6-year-old and snarky phone administrator Ernestine.

Tomlin showed up on the show until it went shut off in 1973. After her fruitful sudden spike in demand for Laugh-In Tomlin proceeded to star in six TV parody specials that she co-composed with Jane Wagner.
