Lily Mazahery is an Iranian-American lawyer, human rights defender, feminist and a social political activist. Mazahery represents some of the human rights activists, the most high profile political dissidents, and victims of human rights violations around the world as founder and president of the Legal Rights Institute.
A substantial portion of her work is directed towards assisting individual victims of human rights violations and political dissidents, particularly in Iran. As a member of various international rights organizations, groups, and campaigns, Mazahery has been a strong advocate of equal rights for women in Islamic countries, which includes abolishing honor killings and stoning executions.
