Kunal Nayyar is a British-Indian entertainer and essayist referred to for his job as Dr. Raj Koothrappali in the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory. Nayyar was conceived in London and raised in New Delhi India. He went to St Columba's School in New Delhi where he played badminton for the school group.

In 1999, Nayyar moved to the US to seek after a Bachelor of Science in Business (Finance) from the University of Portland Oregon. Chipping away at his degree he began taking acting classes and showed up in a few school plays. Subsequent to taking an interest in the American College Theater Festival Nayyar chose to turn into an expert entertainer.
