Karenann Terrell Biography

Karenann joined GSK in September 2017 as Chief Digital & Technology Officer, with a company-wide mandate to transform how new technologies are used to enhance efficiency across the Group. She works on the Corporate Executive Team. She oversees GSK's digital, data, and analytics strategy. She collaborates with a diverse group of partners both inside and outside the healthcare sector to bring new technologies to GSK, improving areas such as clinical trials and drug development, as well as how we communicate with healthcare professionals, customers, as well as consumers and making internal processes more effective. Karenann previously served as Walmart's Chief Information Officer, where she oversaw a multi-year effort to transform Walmart's use of data, analytics, and digital communication with customers. She previously worked at Baxter International as Chief Information Officer, and before that at Daimler Chrysler Corporation. Karenann started her career at General Motors, where she held a variety of positions in manufacturing, engineering, and brand management. Karenann serves on the board of trustees of the New York Hall of Science and was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Pluralsight LLC in 2017. Kettering University and Purdue University awarded her graduate and post-graduate degrees in Electrical Engineering, respectively.
