Dr. Halevy is a director of Facebook AI, based in Menlo Park, California. Dr. Halevy was the CEO of Megagon Labs, an AI research lab that focused on technologies for well-being, conversational interfaces, and the confluence of NLP and data management in general, from 2015 until 2018. Alon led Google Research's Structured Data Group from 2005 until 2015.
He was previously a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Washington, where he created the Database Research Group. He worked as a Principal Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Laboratories from 1993 until 1997. (later AT&T Laboratories). In 1993, he got his Ph.D.
