Jonah Hill Biography

Jonah Hill had been inspired while watching Saturday Night Live The Simpsons and Larry Sanders and hoped to become a comedy writer one day. While in New York he frequented a bar called Black and White where he did much of his writing. One day he met Dustin Hoffman's children Jake and Becky who were impressed by Hill's talent for comedy. They introduced him to their father who arranged an audition for the motion picture I Heart Huckabees. The bit was memorable and Hill graduated to larger roles in films such as Click (2006) starring Adam Sandler and Accepted (2006) starring Justin Long. Hill landed his first starring role in Superbad a raunchy teen comedy about two inept high school seniors who plan to lose their virginity before moving on to college. He has since played roles in major motion pictures such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall Funny People and Get Him to the Greek. In 2012 Jonah received his first Academy Award nomination for Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in Moneyball.
