John Hennessy is the Chairman of Alphabet Inc. Beforehand he filled in as the President of Stanford University. Hennessy is an organizer of MIPS Computer Systems Inc. also, Atheros. In 2017, Hennessy was granted the Turing Award alongside David Patterson for their work in building up the diminished guidance set PC (RISC) design.
