Jina is a proponent of design systems. She is a member of the design advisory board of Opvitae. She is a committee lead at AIGA San Francisco, where she is responsible for content direction for the blog and social media platforms. Jina is a Product Design Expert in the Google Developers Experts program. She's been designing websites for over 22 years and working in the business professionally for over 15 years. She presently provides design systems, visual design, and user experience advice, coaching, and consulting to businesses. Jina was the Senior Design Systems Lead for the latest special projects team at Amazon. Jina was the main designer for Salesforce's Lightning Design System. She also served as Editor-in-Chief of the Salesforce UX blog, managed the Twitter account, organized and lined up sponsorships for meetups and conferences, and coordinated speakers for the wider Salesforce UX community and evangelism initiatives. She was in charge of the Apple Online Store's CSS architecture and style guide. GitHub, Engine Yard, Crush + Lovely, inferno, Oden, and the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art were among her previous employers. She's worked on projects for the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative, Mass.gov, Deloitte, FedEx, and International Paper as a consultant. Clarity, the leading Design Systems conference, is organized by Jina. She created the San Francisco Design System Coalition, as well as the global Design Systems Coalition. She is the founder of the Design Systems Slack, which has over 10,000 members, and she curates the Design Systems Medium magazine. She also started a job board for Design Systems. Jina is a member of the Sass core team, where she is in charge of the Sass brand and website. She is the one who arranges The Mixin (a Sass and front-end meet-up). She's also the curator of Sass News. Jina is the co-author of Design Systems Handbook (InVision's DesignBetter.Co), Fancy Form Design (SitePoint), and The Art & Science of CSS (SitePoint). She worked as a technical editor for Dan Cederholm's A Book Apart's Sass for Web Designers and Sexy Web Design (by Elliot Jay Stocks, SitePoint). She has contributed to A List Apart, 24 Ways, The Pastry Box, Sitepoint, net Magazine, and Treehouse, among others. Jina has spoken at AIGA Design Conference, An Event Apart, Beyond Tellerand, Smashing Conference, and many other events, including Design Systems London, Design Systems Conference Helsinki, CSS Dev Conf, and ConvergeSE.
