Jefferson Fisher is an American trial lawyer, author, podcast host, and communication expert. Born into a family of fifth-generation lawyers, he graduated from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas. He earned a JD from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2014. Fisher is board-certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a distinction held by less than 2% of Texas lawyers. He founded the Fisher Firm in 2021 after working as a partner at a law firm in Beaumont, Texas. In 2022, Fisher began posting short communication tips on social media, filmed in his parked pickup truck, to promote his firm. His “How to Argue Like a Lawyer” TikTok series went viral, amassing over 9 million followers across platforms.
His book, “The Next Conversation: Argue Less, Talk More” (2025), is a New York Times bestseller, offering practical strategies for effective communication. Fisher hosts “The Jefferson Fisher Podcast”, launched in 2024, providing concise self-improvement and communication advice. He also runs the Jefferson Fisher School of Communication, offering coaching and training. A sought-after speaker for Fortune 500 companies, he is also a musician and artist with a passion for marketing and branding.
