Jaye Bea Smalley is a Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute engagement officer (PCORI). She began her career at PCORI as a National Urban Fellow, where she served as special assistant to the chief officer for engagement. Prior to joining PCORI, she worked at Genentech for 14 years, managing accounts across New York City and participating to cross-functional efforts to serve the needs of patients and healthcare stakeholders. Smalley's professional objectives have been molded by the education and health hurdles that are particular to families with special healthcare needs children. She was elected to New York City's Citywide Council on Special Education and co-chaired it for two terms. She is also a member of Community Board 7 in Manhattan.
