Jason Mayden is a renowned sneaker designer, entrepreneur, educator, and creative leader. Born and raised on Chicago’s South Side, he became the first design intern at Jordan Brand in 2001, rose to Senior Global Design Director at Nike, and designed iconic shoes like the Air Jordan XVII Mule and Air Jordan 2009. After Nike, he served as President of Fear of God Athletics, founded the children’s brand Super Heroic, and launched Trillicon Valley, a design and strategy consultancy focused on innovation, new ventures, and youth empowerment. He holds an MS in Management and Social Innovation from Stanford Graduate School of Business and has lectured at institutions like USC. In 2023, Mayden returned to Jordan Brand as Chief Design Officer. A Henry Crown Fellow recognized on Ebony’s Power 100 and Fast Company’s Most Creative People lists, he is also an angel investor, mentor, author, and advocate for creativity, social impact, and helping young people realize their potential.
