Jack Hammond is a retired U.S. Army Brigadier General and Executive Director of Home Base, a collection of mental health professionals and clinicians dedicated to Veteran and family care. A decorated combat leader, he served over three decades, leading U.S. and NATO forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, commanding intelligence-fused counter-terrorism operations, and responding to crises like the 2011 Kabul U.S.
Embassy attack. Since 2012, he has led Home Base, establishing a pioneering Center of Excellence for veteran mental health and brain injury care, serving over 30,000 veterans at no cost. He holds degrees from the University of Massachusetts and Boston University and a Harvard National Security Fellowship.
