Hui Chen is an Associate Professor of Finance at the MIT Sloan School of Management and the Jon D. Gruber Career Development Professor in Finance. His study is focused on asset pricing and how it relates to corporate finance. Chen's research focuses on the connections between the macroeconomy and term structuring, credit risk, and business financing and investment choices. Application of business cycle models to explain corporate financing behavior and corporate bond pricing, as well as an examination of the effects of imperfect markets on entrepreneurial financing and investments, are among his latest research topics. Chen graduated from Zhongshan University with a BA in economics and finance, an MS in mathematics from the University of Michigan, and a Doctorate in finance from the University of Chicago.
