Harvey Levin was up in Los Angeles and aspired to be a law professor as a young adult. He earned his JD at the University of Chicago Law School after receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of California in Santa Barbara.
After passing the bar test, Harvey Levin was able to fulfill his dream of teaching law, and he returned to Los Angeles in 1977 to teach at what is now known as Whittier College School of Law. Harvey Levin's professional path shifted when his school dean encouraged him to join in talks around Proposition 13, a tax-related initiative.
