Greg Toornman Biography

Greg Toornman is AGCO Corporation's Global Vice-President of Materials, Logistics, and Demand Planning, based in Duluth, Georgia. AGCO is a multinational manufacturer of farm equipment, with 2018 revenues of more than $9.4 billion. As AGCO Corporation's Global Vice-President of Materials, Logistics, and Demand Planning, he is in charge of leading the transformation of AGCO's Global Materials and Logistics functions into an integrated and innovative global organization that provides a competitive advantage in the global market place. Greg is responsible for all of AGCO's Materials and Logistics Management spanning 53 assembly and production facilities on a worldwide scale. Greg oversees a global workforce of 450 paid and 2,150 hourly employees. AGCO's award-winning supply chain team has won a number of accolades. The German BVL Supply Chain Innovation award was given in 2016, the European Logistics Association's 2017 Supply Chain Innovation Gold Medal in 2017, and the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing's (CFLP) China Automotive Logistics 2018 Innovation Award was given in 2018. AGCO's Worldwide Material Management activities have created an innovative and internationally integrated network that gives the company a competitive edge in the global market. Greg began his current position in September 2012, following three successful transformative deployments with AGCO's Global Purchasing division from 2004 to 2012. Previous AGCO postings were in Brazil, Switzerland, and the United States. Greg began working at AGCO Corporation in November 2004. Greg previously worked for CIENA Corporation in Baltimore, Maryland as the Senior Director of Global Supply Chain, PACCAR's Kenworth Truck Division in Kirkland, Washington as the Division Director of Materials Management, Peregrine Corporation in Toronto, Canada, and Nippondenso Corporation in various Operational and Materials Management roles. Greg has been a member of the executive council for Western Michigan University's Integrated Supply Management (ISM) programs since 2012. The WMU ISM program is well-known on a global scale as a consequence of its creative approach to developing supply chain expertise. Greg earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Marketing and Operations Management from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1992, and followed his education at Emory and Stanford University Executive Leadership programs.
