Fiona Harvey is the environment correspondent appointed in 2004.She covers all environmental issues including climate change emissions trading renewable energy water waste agriculture fisheries pollution and environmental regulation.Previously she was technology writer having joined the FT as an IT and telecoms reporter for FT.com in 2000.Fiona has been a journalist since 1994.

Before joining the FT she was editor of PC Week and was responsible for the launch of Internet World magazine in the UK.She has also written on a freelance basis for Scientific American the New Scientist and the Encyclopaedia Britannica.She has twice won the Foreign Press Association award for Best Environment Story in 2005 and 2007 and was named Environment Journalist of the Year at the British Environment and Media Awards in 2007.
