Eugene Levy was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Levy took part in drama and filmmaking while attending McMaster University. Several comedic stars like Reitman and Martin Short graduated from McMaster. When it came to graduation, Levy didn’t have many options for a career, except for acting, because he skipped a majority of his classes for extracurricular activities.
In hope for an opportunity, Levy reached out to Reitman who was working on his first film, Foxy Lady. At that time, the only position available was for a coffee boy. Eventually Reitman gave Levy a shot on camera in his movie, Cannibal Girls. That was beginning of Levy’s promising acting career.
