Ethan Zuckerman is an activist and scholar whose work focuses on the global blogosphere free expression and social translation in the developing world. He is the director of the MIT Center for Civic Media.
In this role Ethan contributes both to the understanding of the role and power of civic media in the broader media ecosystem and builds tools that help communities around the world share their perspectives and stories.Prior to joining MIT Ethan was a longtime fellow at Harvard University's Berkman Center for Internet and Society where he focused his research on the impact of technology on the developing world.
