Popular American Gospel singer and minister “Donnie McClurkin” was born Donald Andrew McClurkin on November 9, 1959. He’s won two BET Awards, three Grammy Awards, two Soul Train Awards, ten Stellar Awards, one Dove Award and one NAACP Image Awards.
With over 10 million albums sold, he is said to be one of the top selling Gospel music artists worldwide . McClurkin was crowned “Reigning King of Urban Gospel” by Variety. In 1989, he was hired as an associate minister at Marvin Winans' Perfecting Church in Detroit, Michigan where he served as an assistant to Winans for over a decade.
