Singer-songwriter and guitarist John McCauley, leads an American alt-country band from Providence, Rhode Island known as Deer Tick which originated in December 2004 as a John McCauley solo project. With the help of Brendon Massei a.k.a Viking Moses, McCauley began his touring career and by 19, he had toured across the United States extensively.
He released numerous CD-Rs and three cassettes during this period, and this evolved into Deer Tick. McCauley returned to Providence after continuous touring for almost a year with a newfound confidence and a number of songs like Ashamed, Art Isn’t Real (City Of Sin) and Dirty Dishes.
