Dave Nielsen has always been ahead of the curve when it comes to online technology. He has been a proponent and early adopter of the three key online paradigm shifts—web applications, web services, and cloud computing—since the 1990s. He was one of the first to educate people on how to create dynamic web apps in 1997.
Soon after, Nielsen founded the Web Services SIG, which has now changed its name to Cloud Computing SIG, the world's first web service user organization. Nielsen co-founded CloudCamp, the world's largest grassroots cloud computing group. He also works as a principal consultant at Platform D, a strategic consulting firm, where he assists firms in marketing their cloud-based solutions to developers.
