Danni Allen has struggled with her weight her whole life, although it was never an issue for her as a young athlete who participated in high school soccer, swim, and water polo teams. Danni is eager to become healthy now, at the age of 26 and at her highest weight of 258 pounds, and says, "I really want to start actually enjoying my life." I'm sick of staying in on Friday nights because I don't feel good about myself." Danni grew up in Illinois with her younger sister, and she has always loved to sing. She was a member of one of the country's finest show choirs in high school and has sung at the Grand Ole Opry, but she is now self-conscious about her weight and refuses most requests to sing. Danni earned a bachelor's degree in design and a minor in business administration from Clemson University. Her father's recent health emergency and the long road to recovery convinced her that she needed to take charge of her own life and get well as well. She anticipates being able to wear a bikini on vacation after the weight has been lost, as well as assisting others with their weight reduction struggles. "I understand how much diabetes affects your life, and if I can assist others, both psychologically and physically, it will make this trip even more meaningful." Danni weighed 258 pounds before joining The Biggest Loser. However, by the finals, she had lost 121 pounds and weighed 137 pounds. She was crowned the season 14 champion of The Biggest Loser.
