Dominguez holds a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies from California State University, Los Angeles.
Dominguez was a producer for NBC News after working at Front Page, a Fox News magazine, from 1992 to 1994. (1994-1995). She then started working for Los Angeles' KTLA-TV as a reporter (1995-1996). From 1996 through 2003, Dominguez reported for The Today Show, Nightly News, and MSNBC as a reporter for NBC Network News.
