Dr. Christina Åkerman is a Swedish physician and former Director General of the Swedish Medical Products Agency (2008–2014). She is a specialist in clinical pharmacology with a PhD in clinical physiology from Göteborg University and an Executive MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics.

She served as President of the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM) until August 2018, focusing on value-based healthcare. Currently, she is an Affiliate Faculty at Dell Medical School, University of Texas at Austin, a Senior Institute Associate at Harvard Business School’s Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness, and a board member of Norrsken Mind, a foundation supporting psychedelic research.
