Charles Euchner Biography

Charles Euchner is an author and the creator of The Writing Code, the only brain-based system for mastering writing and editing in all fields. His most recent book, Nobody Turn Me Around: A People's History of the 1963 March on Washington (Beacon Press), is a critically acclaimed account of the civil rights movement at its peak. The book paints a pointillist vision of the civil rights movement, including hitherto unknown anecdotes of Martin Luther King, the march's organizers, President John F. Kennedy, and the crowds that assembled in the movement's busiest year to assert their God-given rights as Americans. He's taught at Yale, Penn, Holy Cross, and Northeastern Universities, as well as running a policy center at Harvard. His other writings include topics such as baseball from the minor leagues to the majors, urban politics and planning, the president, and diplomacy. He has also coordinated Boston's comprehensive planning process. He started off as a journalist. He received his BA from Vanderbilt University and his MA and Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University. He is a resident of New Haven, Connecticut.
