Bruce Schneier was born on the 15th of January, 1963. He is a cryptographer, information security expert, privacy consultant, and writer from the United States. Schneier is a Harvard Kennedy School Lecturer on Public Policy and a Berkman-Klein Center for Internet & Society Fellow.
He serves on the boards of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, AccessNow, and the Tor Project, as well as EPIC and VerifiedVoting.org's advisory boards. Inrupt, Inc. in Boston, MA currently employs Schneier as the Chief of Security Architecture. He is a squid enthusiast and the author of many books on general security, information security, and cryptography.
