Alissa Knight is a globally recognized cybersecurity expert, author, and filmmaker with over 25 years of experience in offensive security, focusing on vulnerability research. Her journey began at 17 when Knight was arrested for hacking a government network. After dismissing her case, the U.S. Intelligence Community recruited her to work in cyber warfare, launching a distinguished career in national security.
As a contributing author to the 2024 OWASP API Security Top 10, Knight has significantly influenced international cybersecurity standards and best practices. As the keynote speaker at DEFCON 2021's Car Hacking Village, she exposed critical vulnerabilities in Ford's sets of rules and protocols that their software applications used to communicate.
