Just after 2 a.m., a shooter filled with hatred and armed with a tactical weapon stormed into Orlando's Pulse Nightclub and opened fire – just leaps from where Wolf stood.
As the shots were fired, he dashed for an exit door, barely escaping the club alive. Drew and Juan, his closest pals, were not so fortunate. They were among the forty-nine people killed, the majority of whom were LGBTQ people of color, in what was the country's deadliest mass shooting at the time.
