Bob Errey was a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, as well as the Buffalo Sabres, San Jose Sharks, Detroit Red Wings, Dallas Stars, and New York Rangers, among others. In 1991 and 1992, he was a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, who won two Stanley Cups.
In 1997, he was a part of Team Canada, which won gold at the World Championships, and he played for Detroit in the Stanley Cup Finals in 1995. With the Penguins, he started off wearing #10 before settling on #12. After spending the whole 1998–99 season with the Hartford Wolf Pack, he retired in 1999.
