Each year at the international science contest run by Google, kids are encouraged to enter their projects and inventions with the aim of winning scholarships and mentorships. Last year, Anushka presented a bandage she had invented that can actually alert doctors to when it needs to be changed. She, along with her invention, finished in the top eight.
Her prize was a $15,000 scholarship, a free trip to the Lego world headquarters in Denmark, and a year’s worth of entrepreneurship mentoring from a Lego executive.
