Antony John Blinken, an American diplomat and government official, served as the 71st United States secretary of state. He formerly worked as the deputy national security advisor from 2013 to 2015 and deputy secretary of state from 2015 to 2017 during President Barack Obama's administration.
Blinken served in senior roles on the National Security Council and the State Department from 1994 to 2001 during the Clinton administration. He was a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies from 2001 to 2002.
