Andy Palmer is a serial entrepreneur and angel investor who has assisted in the founding, funding, or advising of more than 50 creative businesses, many of which are focused on big data. He most recently co-founded Tamr with Mike Stonebraker, PhD, a famous database researcher.
Tamr is a data unification and enrichment platform backed by over $16 million in funding led by Google Ventures and New Enterprise Associates. Andy was formerly the co-founder and CEO of Vertica Systems (which was bought by HP), a pioneering big data analytics firm. Andy also created Koa Labs, a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based start-up club.
