Anais Mitchell is a singer-songwriter, musician, and dramatist from the United States. Mitchell has seven studio albums to his credit, including Hadestown (2010), Young Man in America (2012), and Child Ballads (2013). (2013).
She collaborated with director Rachel Chavkin to turn her album Hadestown into a stage musical, which premiered in the United States at New York Theatre Workshop in summer 2016 and in Canada at the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton the following year.
