Alex Winter is a British-American actor, director, and filmmaker. Raised in St. Louis and New York, he began as a child performer in Broadway hits like "The King and I" and "Peter Pan". After NYU film school, he made his debut in "Death Wish 3" (1985) and gained fame as Marko in "The Lost Boys" (1987).
Winter's breakthrough came as Bill S. Preston, Esq., in "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" (1989), sparking a franchise with sequels in 1991 and 2020 alongside Keanu Reeves. He co-wrote, co-directed, and starred in cult comedy "Freaked" (1993) and directed "Fever" (2014). Shifting to documentaries, he was a part of "The Panama Papers" (2018), "Showbiz Kids" (2020), and "Zappa" (2020).
